I am a PhD student in Economics at the Department of Business and Economics of the University of Naples Parthenope. My research interests lie at the intersection of economic history, long-run development, and inequality. I use econometric methods to study how historical institutions and structural forces have shaped — and continue to shape — economic outcomes across time and space.
My current work explores the persistence of pre-industrial agrarian institutions and their influence on industrialization patterns, with a focus on family firms and technological adoption in Italy. More broadly, I am interested in understanding the deep roots of economic development and the mechanisms through which the past continues to affect the present.
